Eye piercing – Part II

BME: Describe the procedure you used for this type of piercing? What steps have you taken to minimize the risk?
Joe: When we did the eyelid, Kevin, we think not only about how to properly and safely do piercings, but also about how he was going to worry about it later, make sure that the decoration does not damage his eyes, that body piercing will heal quickly and do not inconvenience. To capture an eyelid, I used a little time, the edges of which I carefully polished so as not to scratch the inside of the century. BME: What was the surgery like?
KEVIN: It was damn scary, but there was almost no pain. Then it was very uncomfortable, especially at night. The next morning eyelid swelling was uncomfortable and a little irritating. The eye was red and slightly dry with a crust of blood … but it was a bit painful only when my eyes were dry.
BME: Did you take any medication?
KEVIN: Aleve, 50mg of zinc, and a clean ocean water during the day.
JOE: The first thing that we used was clean ocean water, which really helped to heal century as well. The salinity of the water as close to the natural level of tears that never led to the burning or causing damage to the eyes. KEVIN: Already on the second night I had no problems with sleep, but when I woke up this morning, I found a large quantity of pus under my eyelid. I delete it with ocean water and a cotton swab. At first there was quite a large tumor, and it was painful to close or wide-open eyes. Then the redness began to disappear, and mostly I just felt like eyelash in my eye.
BME: How do you control the healing?
JOE: I examined his eyes every day with a 10-fold magnifying glass jeweler to make sure that there is no damage to the eyeball. And until now, the decoration is not scratched contact lenses, Kevin, that it is impossible not to notice! I forced Kevin to log your healing and made sure that he writes all the details.
Kevin: By the third day of healing of redness completely asleep, pus no longer appear. However, the lid was still a little swollen … I began to get used to the feeling of “false eyelashes”, but it still bothered me. The next day, the tumor a little more sleep, and the eye was sick except when I closed it very tightly. Over the next few days, I almost got used to the feeling of the presence of something in the eye. By the end of the first week of healing, I totally used to it and two weeks of piercing is no longer any inconvenience.
BME: Do you still need to do something to worry about piercing?
KEVIN: I still use the ocean water and eye drops several times a day to avoid infection. I have not had any problems with my eyesight and in general it was a good experience. Two months have passed since then, as I did piercings, wear it and not even feel it. … The only problem – they are people pressed together in horror at the corners in the elevator!
